I’m a student and a lifelong lover of learning, and I am very passionate about improving myself and those around me. Leadership and mentoring have always been an integral part of who I am, yet I’ve always craved the knowledge and experience that my peers had to offer. I am constantly asking questions, seeking greater understanding of the countless interests that surround me. The educational, volunteer, and career-oriented opportunities that I’ve been afforded have helped me to realize how much I love both medicine and social interaction. The years volunteering at Craig Hospital in Denver and serving an LDS mission in Washington, D.C., were hands-down the most pivotal experiences of my life—humility, teamwork, and servant leadership were learned values that cemented my desire to serve and learn in the medical field. I love being around people. I love learning. I love improvement, and therefore prize the lessons, correction, and counsel that will help me be the most efficient and productive student/coworker/individual that I can be! My biggest career-oriented goals and priorities are excelling in medical school and working my way into a specialized profession where I am able to help and heal others.
