Our primary goal is to introduce new students and their families to the resources that help create a smooth transitions to the university. • Student Orientation Staff are a selected group of 25 University of Oregon Students that are trained to show incoming freshman students during the Summer before they’re first term, what the University has to offer through a program called IntroDUCKtion. • My responsibility was to interact with a group of about 20 incoming freshmen, guiding them to info sessions and activities that the University hosts, and to become their mentor, bringing them closer to their peers to find a sense of community and to present opportunities for the Freshman to get involved in at the University. • This position improved my leadership qualities and customer service with the students and parents. This entailed directing, answering questions, and engaging in conversations. It has taught me a lot about the interactions with different people of all ages and how to keep them happy.

• Summer paid Internship with a firm that helps companies with disability insurance on a federal and domestic level.• I advanced my knowledge on computers and programs like excel, by book keeping potential clients and analyzing their financial situations. I also made PowerPoints for business meetings and created many marketing flyers intended for events such as job fairs.• On many occasions I had to make phone calls to clients or potential clients confirming if they received insurance packages from us, mainly discussing potential scenarios on how our company could help them. Also, checking up on clients that needed any extra services.
