I have a passion to support parents and kiddos with social communication and regulation delays (e.g., Autism, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties, social anxiety, and highly sensitive systems). I hold over 16 years of experience working with kiddos and their families with social communication disorders. During my tenure specializing in working with these populations, I have learned the importance of the foundational executive function skills (i.e. attention, problem-solving, self-awareness, self-regulation, self-monitoring, etc.) in developing kiddos’ ability to communicate (with others and themselves) and perceive their environment and themselves. I have watched parents and kiddos struggle with managing difficult behaviors and helped them understand what observed behaviors were communicating and how to address them in positive ways. I am also a highly sensitive person and empathic intuitive with ADHD and sensory processing differences, which helps me connect with kiddos and make sense of their needs for their parents and caregivers. Drawing on my personal experience and training in early childhood development, mindfulness/yoga, emotional intelligence, sensory processing, and self-regulation, I have developed successful strategies to help teach parents and kiddos essential tools and skills to incorporate into their daily life and reduce the impact of social communication and regulation struggles.I have a private speech-language pathology practice serving toddlers and school-age kiddos and a separate mindful parent coaching service. I incorporate mindfulness practices into all individual speech-language therapy sessions and my online mindfulness programs for sensational/sensitive kids and their parents.Interested in learning more about my programs?
