Ty Lowe is a singer-songwriter, vocal arranger, composer, workshop facilitator and teacher from Tottenham, North London. He is a trained professional musician and sings and plays classical guitar and piano. He graduated from Brunel University with a BA in Music. Subsequently, he achieved a MA in Music Performance, then further study to obtain a PGCE in music education and is now Head of Music at Gladesmore Community School in TottenhamTy Lowe has been directing choirs, community groups and youth theatre productions for over 15 years. He has run choirs and musically directed projects for Hackney Empire, Hackney Music Service, Haringey Shed Theatre Company as well as being the choir director for Haringey Young musicians and leading the successful Haringey Vox choir for the past 8 years. They have performed at the BBC proms as well as the Tottenham Hotspur stadium most recently.Ty led and was creative and musical director of the initiative, Everybody Dreams. A project where the students of Gladesmore Community School wrote and recorded a single to change the negative perception of Tottenham post-riots. The song gathered national television coverage on ITV and the BBC, as well as numerous radio interviews with the BBC. The single peaked at number 33 on the iTunes chart. In 2019, Ty worked alongside Legendary musical arranger Steve Sidwell and conducted his song Everybody Dreams for the opening ceremony for the new Tottenham Hotspur stadium in front of 62,000 Spurs fans. It has been streamed over 10 million times since.Ty has performed, taught and conducted throughout the world, including the USA, Caribbean and across Europe. He has conducted at prestigious venues like Royal Albert Hall, Institute of Contemporary Art, Tottenham Hotspur stadium, Royal Festival Hall and the Barbican.He is very excited to premiere his newest work ‘songs for unsung heroes,’ commissioned by Haringey Music Service. He is currently working on his first children’s songbook for education which is set to be released early 2023.
