My involvement with indie based, and emerging companies has always enabled me to wear many hats and take on many roles in this industry.I am very lucky to have worked with great companies, and to have been given the creative control to take both of those companies to new levels in the footwear and fashion industry. Creative Director And Brand ManagerSolestruck.Com 2010 - Apr 2014Nyc/Portland OregonDuring my time, and under my leadership, Solestruck went from being a small shoe dot com, carrying such brands as Sugar, Jessica Simpson, Baby Phat and Dansko, to a fully realized fashion lifestyle site with the best footwear brand matrix in the industry. By stripping out old brands, forcing the administration to clear out thousands of pairs of old pairs of shoes and starting from scratch--we were able to together create an amazing experience. Combining my skills as a creative director and a brand manager, I left a huge impact on this amazing company.I was given the creativity to truly re-create the SOLESTRUCK BRAND. I was able to develop relationships with many designer brands, fashion houses, and global tastemakers previously out of reach to SOLESTRUCK.com. Upon leaving Solestruck, I was happy to have brought great labels to the table such as Rachel Comey, United Nude, Opening Ceremony, ACNE STUDIOS, Birkenstock, KTZ, See By Chloe, Jil Sander Navy and countless other indie labels not otherwise represented in the US. I was able to hire,lead and create a great team during my time at Solestruck which helped activate my goals and visions into place.In addition to working on the front side of the site in developing brand relationships and cultivating the bulk of the creative collateral with my team, I was also given the challenge of starting and executing the private label division of SOLESTRUCK.com. Again, with members of the team, and support from the higher ups, I was given the freedom to start creating the in-house brands which would help better curate the site's brand matrix and allure of exclusivity, increase margins, and also push them into the realms of wholesale and factory direct work. I paired Solestruck with factory contacts, sales contacts and tradeshow contacts to launch their brands into the market in huge ways. These brands and projects still exist at Solestruck, even after my absence, and I am happy to see them grow, change, and flourish. -

I have been a contractor for them since 2004, until present, and am often brought on for special projects in the realm of creative direction, packaging design, or project management. I was also lucky enough to be in house with the brand for five years at a crucial time of the brands development from 2006 to early 2011.While in-house at Jeffrey Campbell, I worked and trained alongside Jeff and reported also to the now company Vice President. I created all lookbooks and social media platforms for the company, invented, created, designed, and wrote their first blog, website, facebook and twitter accounts as well as all initial lookbook/brand campaigns. All of my creative work came second to my role as Global Sales Manager.During my time at Jeffrey Campbell, I also was exposed to the process of product development and shoe design, sourcing and factory work. Through a myriad of trips to multiple countries I began my training in product development next to Jeff, someone I consider a top line builder in the industry. I am happy to still be hired from time-to-time for consulting and project contract work for a brand that I am proud to have worked for and built at a very important stage of development.
