Former collegiate baseball from UConn-Avery Point now attending UNCC as a senior pursuing a degree in finance and accounting with a minor in economics maintaining a 3.75 gpa. Looking for a finance or auditing internship at a top company to enhance my learning of the industry.Being raised as the son to a carpenter, math became a huge part of my life without knowing it. Becoming deeply invested into the subject and developing a quick ability to learn about math, it had embellished to be my strongest asset. After taking harder courses I realized that this is way too difficult, and I can take my math skills and move them over to a financial focus and teach people how to properly use their money. Currently I am a server for over 4 years, been in the food industry for almost 6 years, and a salesman for a marketing firm I had embodied tremendous communication and negotiating skills for my career path.As a server at a major sports bar in Charlotte that hosts thousands of events and a capacity of over 1000 people for over 4 years came with a lot of responsibility. I was able to enhance my communication skills, time management, and negotiation aptitude. I was able to work events of 50 plus people alone, taking food out at the right time, taking everyone’s drink order efficiently, and ensuring that every customer is joyful during their experience. Quickly adapting to potential errors and properly use my time and communicate with the guests to keep them even keeled is an art that I have mastered to translate into my future career.I am currently at my third university at UNCC, beforehand I was a college athlete for 2 years playing baseball, and an all-state baseball in high school. As a captain for my high school team and leader of my college team I was able to maintain captaincy and motivational traits. Influencing my teammates to not only be the best they can be through creating groups to do winter hitting lessons with me, but also motivate them to win each day. This allowed my high school team as a captain to go to the state semi-finals game and being a part of a team that was ranked 7th in the nation on the collegiate level. Combining those assets through baseball and as a worker in the service industry has constructed me to succeed and want to conquer the finance industry. Learning more about investments, money managing, and aid those who need financial assistance is an ardent occupation I wish to pursue and succeed in.
