Workshop Manager for the environmental non-profit, Reflo, INC.In this role, I have the privilege to work on a wide array of projects that support Reflo's missio;, ranging from laser cutting, CNC engraving, urban lumber processing and furniture making. ______archive______Working for StrategyBytes, LLC I have had the opportunity to act as a bilingual (French and English) software support specialist and project manager. This experience has been integral in my communication and language comprehension skills, both on a professional and personal level. During software installations in Quebec, Canada, I operate primarily in French to train French-speaking users, operators, supervisors, maintenance technicians, and the IT team on how to use our software packages. I also serve as an interpreter between our French-speaking clients and my English-speaking colleagues. Professionally, I have translated technical/software related documents for StrategyBytes, LLC, which required French-Canadian translations for their Canadian clients. I am also involved with post editing machine translation projects.On a volunteer basis, I have translated many letters, emails, and blog posts from third-party contacts who wished to converse with their distant family or friends abroad. This also includes my personal translation project, which consisted of doing one translation a day for a calendar year. Maritime:From 2006 - 2010 I worked for a sailing charter out of Ephraim, WI, operating 27' Stiletto Catamarans. During this time I also crewed aboard a parasailing vessel which operated in the same waters.While based in England, UK, I worked for Thames Clippers; a fast-cat ferry service on the Thames river. I also took part in a complete rebuild project of a 43' steel schooner.
