This program stood out for its effectiveness, with 85% of our alumni securing an average income of over $40,000 within just six months of graduation, demonstrating the tangible impact of our initiatives on individual career advancement and financial stability.

The Howard Theatre, a revered historic landmark since its inauguration in 1910, stands as an essential cultural beacon within the Black community. It served as a stage for renowned musical geniuses like Duke Ellington and Ella Fitzgerald throughout the early to mid-twentieth century, rightfully earning its moniker, "Theater of the People." Despite its storied past, the theater experienced several closures, with the last one occurring in 1980. In 2012, I became a board member, joining a committed team endeavoring to resurrect this iconic venue. My time on the board was marked by successful donor engagement and support. We organized gala events that were the talk of the town, featuring epic performances from the likes of Lalah Hathaway, Savion Glover, and Al Jarreau. To this day, The Howard Theatre proudly upholds its legacy as the "Theater of the People," continuously promoting inclusion both in its deeds and on its stage.
