My goal has always been to get to know the brands that I work with and deeply connect with their target audience so that I can provide them with a visual solution that exceeds their expectations. Project managing the full design lifecycle as the lead graphic designer for a commercial signage company allowed me to continually use these skills while achieving exceptional customer satisfaction ratings. I loved being a part of a highly driven team and contributing to the business’ growth and expansion by conceptualizing and designing purpose-driven creative solutions for wayfinding systems, high-rise exterior signage, interior wall murals, monuments, and many other promotional pieces. During my tenure, I had the honor of working with some incredible local and national businesses including the D.C. Bar Association, Bad Daddy's Burger Bar chain, PDQ Restaurant chain, and ECU Baseball.

Building on my previous design experience, I was brought onto the team to lead the company’s marketing and embroidery department by creating promotional materials, corporate gift items, and various print materials. My can-do attitude makes me a natural planner and organizer and I excelled when I could proactively resolve design issues, learn new skills to support the rapidly growing embroidery division, and provide leadership to other team members, especially with regards to budgets and deliverables.Furthermore, I directly interfaced with clients in our retail store, helping boost sales, providing expert counsel, and diplomatically resolving any customer issues. As a senior member of the team, I enjoyed the higher levels of responsibility and being more involved in the decision-making process. I was also able to contribute valuable design insights and expedite project timeframes by delegating tasks and improving collaboration.

My earlier graphic design career sparked my passion for corporate branding and marketing. This role gave me one of my first opportunities to understand, meet, and deliver a consistent brand image in accordance with strict company guidelines. This was also an excellent opportunity for me to fine-tune my communication, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.

Recruited to facilitate the design and execution of promotional signage in the convenience store industry, I specialized in creating niche branding products, liaising with clients, and monitoring jobs through the various stages of the printing process. I was also directly involved with securing a $100K contract with P&G and I combined my creativity with my analytical nature to drive quality control, increase turnaround times, and improve customer satisfaction ratings.
