The Career Orientation Committee is a committee of Protagoras, the study association of Biomedical Engineering at the TU/e.This committee organizes two career activities each year to provide students with better orientation for their future careers. One of these activities is the Career Event, where companies and PhD students deliver presentations about career possibilities, followed by networking opportunities with students. The other activity is the Career Trip, a two-day trip to a foreign city where students visit various (bio)medical companies.I was responsible for promoting the event, which I combined with my role as sponsor coordinator. This committee helped me learn how to approach companies, ensure effective communication, work in (small) teams, and develop many other important skills.
