Reviews and evaluates the completeness and accuracy of ships' records relating to the propulsion plant. Submits prescribed reports.September 2016 – August 2019: Engineer Officer aboard USS North Carolina (SSN 777) homeported at Pearl Harbor, HI. Administered the normal operation and maintenance of a submarine propulsion plant (including the operation and maintenance of a nuclear reactor and associated equipment) and of auxiliary machinery and piping systems. Directed control of damage, operation and maintenance of electrical systems, repairs to the ship's hull, and repairs to material equipment of other departments when required. Controlled and directed normal non-propulsion activities.July 2014 – February 2016: Staff Submarine Warfare Officer aboard Commander, Destroyer Squadron 23 homeported at San Diego, CA. Assisted the commander by formulating plans and directives involving submarine warfare and the employment of submarines. Maintained records of the readiness and availability of units. Advised the commander on material, personnel, general training, and the development of submarine tactics and doctrine.
