When trying to decide what I want to do for the rest of my life I would continually ask myself 'Is Coding what you want to do?' and I am here to tell everyone I FOUND IT! I found that career I am both excited and motivated to peruse, since I started learning to code it hasn't been something I just do but something I cant stop doing. The personal flair you can offer in your work feels like a career in 20 years I can sit back and tell stories of all my works I was able to achieve. I have spent 5 years in a customer service role, this has equipped me with lifelong skills that I will never take for granted. My previous employer was a software company working under a SaaS model, in my two roles in this company I was able to work in an environment that allowed my first glimpse into the software world which is where I became hooked. I have been able to learn valuable software development skills in such developments like agile, where I would be require to attended daily scrums, help with planning sessions, bug reporting and QA testing before production releases and plenty more general software development processes.Coder Academy has been my bridge to the success I am chasing in the software industry, they have been able to provide the correct direction in my story. Since starting my boot camp I have been apart of many projects and continue to add to my coding tool belt. I have found a heavy interest in front-end development, I personally feel I am able to express my creative side through my works and after creating my first CSS animation I was HOOKED! I am still a trained full-stack developer that is open to all opportunities and will strive under a great company and even better mentors.
