After posting my resume on monster.com, I got contacted by a recruiter to interview for a entry level outbound position contacting companies about return issues. After 90 days I was promoted to a PSR which answered phone calls for employees calling to order their award for service recognition for their company. After another 90 days, I was promoted to a CSR which handled daily inbound service issues such as returns or defective items. I always prided myself on making an effort to be the most knowledgeable, knowing the systems and technology we used, and taking or making the most calls. After a year of what I consider was a success with this company, I was contacted by the same recruiter to fill a better paying position at Associates Capital Bank which would become Citibank.

This was my first “official” job where I spent most of my time in grocery stores demoing different products. I loved this job on weekends where as soon as I sold through the product, I could go home and still be paid for a full day. Most of the time I would sell through the product in a half of a day and I was out of there! Work smarter not harder.
