Music Educator and Composer. Presidential fellow for the University at Buffalo working towards completing the PhD in Music Composition. As an educator, Tyler has taught both undergraduate and youth students musical skills including music theory, technology, performance, and composition. Classes he has taught at universities include Rock Music, Composition Seminar, Electronic Music, and Music and Nature.As an artist, his works focus on the environmental aspects of music. He uses space as an integral part of his practice, incorporating stage movement and electronics to enhance the effect of his music. His music is often called "expansive" and "atmospheric," encouraging listeners to meditate and reflect on the sonic space their inhabit.
