As a DIAL (Diversity in Arts Leadership) Intern through Americans for the Arts, I joined the School of American Ballet for 10 weeks to work with their Development and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion departments. Tasks completed during this internship include:-Greeted donors and ushered them to seats during the Workshop Benefit Performance and the following dinner-Conceptualized design, wrote articles, held interviews, created a QR code, and responded to departmental critiques for the Annual Impact Report (distributed to donors)-Wrote multiple candidate lists for various programs, including the Visiting Faculty Co-Chairs and Alumni Advisory Committee on Diversity and Inclusion, that included candidates’ names, locations, current positions at current employers, and brief summaries of artistic and professional backgrounds-Co-lead two welcome ceremonies for the New York Junior Program, a one-week program for children ages 10-12, that centered around building community and feeling a sense of belonging-Created a digital invitation to welcome donors to a choreography viewing-Wrote biographies for the previous National Visiting Fellows, summarizing artistic and professional backgrounds-Wrote a letter of gratitude to be sent to donors alongside the Annual Impact Report-Attended weekly meetings with the PRO and Development teams-Conducted multiple informational interviews with various faculty and staff members, including the Executive Director and Artistic Director (of both SAB and New York City Ballet)-Attended weekly DIALogue meetings with the DIAL cohort and senior coordinator -Presented a virtual site visit of my internship to the 2022 DIAL cohort-Met weekly with a mentor to seek personal and professional guidance
