I regularly help customers with questions regarding exotic plant care and maintenance, as well as help them get familiar with plants that can do well in their spaces. I handle sales and customer interactions, and focus on building an interactive and personal relationship with the shop's clients.I am also responsible for growing and maintaining the plants in the store, as well as unboxing imports and shipments in order to get them ready for sale. This has given me a great sense of responsibility, as the items we market are alive and must be attended to daily in order to be as healthy as possible.

I am a tray server that is responsible for seating guests, attending to and bussing tables, and the general side work that comes with a restaurant job, such as cleaning and maintaining the restaurant as well as making sure guests are comfortable and extremely satisfied with their visit.I am responsible for taking food and drink orders, providing appetizers and entrees, as well as making any desserts they may ask for. I bus my own tables throughout the day, and close the restaurant for the evening at the end of every shift. This experience has gotten me very comfortable and confident with handling customer interactions and assuring they leave with a positive opinion of the business.

During my shifts, I was responsible for making all the customers' coffee orders in a timely manner, while making sure that they enjoyed their stay. I routinely also made frozen drinks, plate lunches, and took phone calls and online orders throughout the day.I was responsible for training any new hires and making sure that every shift ran smoothly and transitioned easily during shift changes. Throughout the week I would work in the afternoon and close the shop in the evening, and worked during the busy hours of weekend mornings. This job gave me many coworker relationship skills, and I enjoyed helping new hires with any questions they had while also solving problems as they arose.

I was a cashier, and also restocked shelves, helped customers find what they needed, answered any questions and phone calls, unloaded truck orders and organized shipments, and worked in the lumberyard for various construction projects. As my first job, I appreciated the opportunity to become a 'jack-of-all-trades' employee, and took many of these skills with me into subsequent employment.
