I've come to realize few can relate to my experiences afield. It became apparent that hunting offered me an opportunity to interact with my environment in a very intimate way, maintaining a deep rooted connection that most have lost. I struggled for a long time trying to convey my experiences with wildlife, but that all changed the day I picked up a camera. Photographing wildlife brought me a sense of satisfaction, and for the first time I was able to share the beauty I saw with others in a tangible way. The drive to achieve the highest quality images quickly began consuming my free time, fueled by the inspiration I created.To handle a growing demand for portrait photography requests I started my own business, Weathermen Waterfowl, in 2014. I quickly realized ability to produce video would complement my still photo capabilities. By Spring 15’ I was traveling across NYS filming waterfowl hunts and photographing anything I could (but birds were always my favorite). In February I was contracted by NYS Conservationist Magazine as a photographer, the next month I was featured on the cover and have since provided them with over 40 images. In just 8 months I traveled to every time zone in the US, filming and photographing in 15 states. I have worked with companies including Tanglefree Waterfowl, YEO Camouflage, Under Armour and Remington. I’ve been fortunate enough to work with world renowned lodges and guides including Knock-em-Down guide service, Black Pearl Lodge, Pitboss Waterfowl, and South Valley Outfitters. To me it’s not a list of accomplishments, it’s a set of memories, people I’ve met, and experiences I wouldn’t trade for the world. It’s hardly a “job”, it’s never knowing what’s next, expecting the unexpected and capturing incredible moments in incredible places. It’s about getting as far away from ordinary as extraordinary will allow - and then going farther.
