Artist and filmmaker with a wide variety of fabrication skills in metal, wood, and plastics. CNC machinist with experience in CAD and CAM - my strong-suit is CAD modeling/prototyping. I am comfortable around 3D printers, laser cutters, and 3-axis milling machines, with some 4-axis and lathe operation experience. I currently work for Zachary Oxman at Oxman Studios where I am an artist assistant and fabricator primarily working with metals. Our clients include the Biden Administration, and the White House Historic Association. - In June of 2022, I completed 'Burning Stone', an award winning feature-length film which employed a variety of fabrication skills related to prop making and practical effects. The film included an automated system for monitoring the temperature and humidity of a butterfly enclosure, where 2-sets of 3-generation caterpillars/butterflies were grown from eggs. The props included several casts from CNC-milled or 3d printed molds. The film's score was self-composed and has since won the following awards: - In September of 2022, Burning Stone won 'Best Soundtrack' at High Tatras Film and Video Festival- In November of 2022, Burning Stone won silver for 'Best Feature' and platinum for 'Best Original Soundtrack' category at Mindfield Film Festival. Burning Stone was also selected for Montreal Independent Film Festival. - In December of 2022, Burning Stone won 'Best Soundtrack' at Rome Outkast Film Award- In May of 2023, Burning Stone was selected for 'Mammoth Lakes Film Festival'- In 2021, I formed my own company 'Sulfur Harvest' to encompass my interest and skills in mycology. The primary focus of the company is to cultivate the mycelium and fruiting bodies of the 'Laetiporus' family, a group of polypore mushrooms known commonly as 'Chicken of the Woods'. Experimental applications of 3D printers have been used for moldmaking in the mushroom's inoculation process and promising results have been made. The company also includes the sale and distribution of exotic mushrooms which have been hand foraged. The company includes a few part-time foragers who are contracted based on the season's progression.
