Eko is a venture-backed digital health company which harnesses the power of smartphones and cloud data for screening and monitoring individuals with cardiovascular diseases. We have built a platform of non-invasive cardiovascular monitoring devices, clinical software, and point-of-care decision support software to improve the delivery of cardiovascular care.In 2015, we launched the Eko Core Digital Stethoscope, the first FDA-cleared digital stethoscope on the market to wirelessly stream heart, lung, and bowel sounds to HIPAA-compliant software. It is now used by hundreds of thousands of clinicians & 100+ health system partners around the globe and was recognized as a “Best Invention of the Year” by TIME Magazine. Eko's latest FDA-cleared device, DUO, is the first combined digital stethoscope and ECG cardiac monitor with cardiac AI for in-clinic and at-home monitoring, offering 28 million heart disease patients the ability to seamlessly send cardiac data to their physicians. During the founding days of Eko I created the initial hardware and mobile software prototypes for the flagship product of the company - the Eko Core. Once traction was achieved I shifted my focus to developing the mobile application software that interacts with our hardware products. As the lead mobile developer I managed our software engineers and interfaced with the quality team to make sure our systems met regulatory requirements. Currently I spend my time investigating new expansion opportunities for Eko educational software and hardware. My most recent project is Eko Academy - an educational tool for medical students, clinicians, and any other interested parties that teaches how to interpret audio and ECG signals for abnormalities. For this project I interviewed students/educators to define product requirements, coordinated with clinical staff to generate the educational content, managed a design team to create a modern UI/UX, and singlehandedly wrote the iOS app code.

Paid intern within the Environmental Engineering department developing programs for analyzing and tracking fines associated with OBD (On-Board Diagnostics II) approval letter documentation. Created the departmental database for these documents, resulting in over 30,000 lines of code with functionality including: - Automated ability to generate sales reports for each quarter showing each automobile models sales and fines owed due to the respective OBD documents received;- Created a custom “Deficiencies” tab in Excel to seamlessly integrate my suite of tax documentation programs into a workbook.- Designed executable analytical programs to prioritize and organize documents in the database with minimal user input. Documents in database linked to their PDF copies on the local server;- Enabled archiving of database on user request or the opening/closing of the main database Excel workbook.

Selected for 2-month paid internship at the BMW headquarters in Munich, Germany: CAE Crank Train and Cylinder Head Department. - Developed graphical representation schemes for the microgeometry of bearings involving complex mathematics and spatial modeling.- Implemented these schemes into existing BMW CAE tool landscape via comprehensive Matlab programming.- Integrated new piston shaft and pin bore profiles into departmental engineering processes and protocols.- Designed a query interface with a broad range of variable inputs that generated customized graphic depictions and coordinate grids that depicting the geometric cylinder head deviations resulting from thermodynamic stresses.
