I offer semi-private swimming lessons to children ages 4-12 during the summer months (May-July). I have been teaching swimming lessons since the summer of 2012. I was a lifeguard at the St. Joseph Country Club for four years (and am still currently certified in CPR and First Aid) and began teaching lessons part time through SJCC.I teach swimmers in groups of 8 or less, with swimmers grouped with other kids who are similar in swim proficiency and age. This allows the lessons to be productive and beneficial for all four swimmers in the group. Parents of swimmers that have taken from me before can attest to the fact that I do a good job of giving each swimmer individualized attention within the context of a group lesson. The kids truly benefit from the group atmosphere as they see other swimmers being brave and having fun!The lessons are 30 minutes in length. Each one-week session includes 5 30-minute lessons, running from Monday-Friday (we might use the weekends to make up for lessons that get rained out).The cost is $60 for one child for one session (which includes the 5 30-minute lessons). You are free to sign up multiple swimmers and are more than welcome to sign up for multiple sessions as well! I do have a limit for each session, so when I reach that limit, I will no longer be able to accept any more swimmers for that particular session.Other important info: my minimum age for swimmers is 4.
