The Economic Democracy Initiative (EDI), led by Bard College, is the Open Society University Network's collaborative program focusing on the structural determinants of economic insecurity. Its projects examine the connections between inequality, unemployment and poverty and the policy space and financing capacities of governments to address these challenges.I edit and publish the written content published by EDI - its working paper series and policy notes. I have worked on two websites, postneoliberalism.org and jobguarantee.org during my time at EDI. I coordinated the content and design of these projects with the EDI team and our web developer. Further I created and edited the content featured on the job guarantee site in concert with EDI's director and team. I continue to coordinate and manage the content on these sites as the projects evolve. I appeared in the Real Progressive's podcast Macro n Cheese in January '24 to discuss the job guarantee web tool.My work also includes assisting in data collection and analysis for EDI presentations on macroeconomic issues, particularly regarding labor markets, around the world. I am responsible for copy-editing EDI's publications, including its Working Paper series.I am conducting my own research on the position of people with disabilities in the labor market, specifically on the trends in non-participation and its causes. I have continued my undergraduate research on the impact a job guarantee policy might have specifically on people with disabilities, and how their needs might be incorporated into the design and implementation of active labor market programs. I guest lectured on that research in the Bard College course "The Right to Employment" in early 2024.I play an active role in the promotion of EDI's activities and research through its Twitter and YouTube accounts.

The Levy Economics Institute Graduate Programs in Economic Theory and Policy were created to offer students an alternative to mainstream graduate programs in economics and finance. The Institute is well known for its work in macroeconomic theory and policy analysis, the development and exploration of alternative measures of economic well-being and income and time poverty, and its continuing efforts to extend the work of Distinguished Scholars Minsky and Godley.

I maintain a studio of piano students, mainly teaching classical music. I am guided by a desire to share a deep love of music and instill the joy of music in others. My main goal is to provide my students, who have been between the ages of 5 and 80, the tools to become their own teachers at the keyboard when they sit down to learn something new. My specialty is the classical and romantic and classical piano literature, but I teach across genres and eras to meet my students where they are passionate!

Vermont Children's Theater is a free, community theater program for children aged 5 through 18. I was music director for two summer seasons for the middle school group and for the high school group, totaling 4 shows including Aladdin Jr., Shrek Jr., and Wonka. I helped the theater directors casting the shows and coached the students as they learned, rehearsed, and perfected the musical numbers. This included vocal warm ups, teaching choral groups, and on-on-one coaching of soloists. I was also keyboardist during rehearsals and performances. I was responsible for assembling pit bands if required for each musical.

Dorm life on college campuses is a major sources of landfill waste. Students are itinerant and often move to universities from across the country or internationally - they buy what they need in the fall and often throw household goods and school supplies, from empty notebooks to mini fridges, into dumpsters on move out day. Freenew provides an alternative place for students to bring their reusable household items, with 6 storage sheds strategically placed on SUNY Purchase's campus. During my time at FreeNew, the program diverted several tons of household waste, providing free (and much needed) items to new and returning students. Some items we could not store were sent to Grad Bag, which provided free housing kits to first-generation college students. I also organized a group trip to NH for a conference on waste reduction and diversion. As part of these activities I took part in environmental organizing on campus for clean water, reduced plastic use, and more.
