I am a materials scientist who specializes in nanostructure device fabrication and opto-electronic characterization via variable temperature/magnetic field transport measurements. My graduate work focused on exploring low dimensional materials, which have been precluded from study due to their sensitivity to ambient conditions. This included probing their opto-electronic properties (i.e. conductivity, photoconductivity, and magnetic ordering) down to the single layer limit, where topological and quantum effects become extremely relevant.I have a broad scientific background from organic chemistry to electronic devices. A large part of my life, more than ten years, has been spent teaching and educating people from elementary school to graduate school in STEM. I am looking to utilize my experience from graduate school to work with a collaborative research and development team who will broaden my scientific skill set in fields outside of my expertise.
