I am the co-founder of Eclipse Scheduling, the first IDEA-focused scheduling and management platform developed exclusively for Language Service Providers (LSP) and disability accommodation service companies. I am a seasoned and innovative sign language interpreter with 10+ years of leadership and entrepreneurial experience. I am fluent in multiple sign language varieties and modalities, as well as English and Spanish, and I have interpreted for clients in a wide range of settings including educational, post-secondary, vocational rehabilitation, social services, medical, mental health, legal, entertainment, and political functions. Recognized for demonstrating a natural aptitude for cultural mediation and languages, as well as for building strong collaborative relationships, my professional areas of expertise naturally evolved to include trilingual (English/Spanish/ASL) interpreting, DeafBlind tactile interpreting, and LGBTQ-sensitive interpreting. My interpreting and accommodations experience, as well as my passion for designing customized, inclusive solutions for people who identify as LEP or with a disability, inspired the creation of Eclipse Scheduling, a platform that easily integrates into service agencies' existing business operations. As Eclipse Scheduling's CEO, I managed the research, design, and development of the company's multi-user platform from concept through launch. The platform demonstrates my strong emphasis on refocusing the profession’s mindset on the most critical aspect of service delivery–offering customized interpreting and accommodations services that holistically meet the needs of the service consumer, including their language preferences, culture, gender identity, and self-expression. I am also the co-founder and CFO of Inclusive Communication Services, New York City’s premier provider for accommodation services for the Deaf, DeafBlind, and Blind, including sign language interpreting, captioning, and accessible media services. In this role, I strategize innovative and cost-effective equal-access solutions for clients of all sizes, from major corporations to budget restricted community and Arts organizations.Colleagues describe me as a progressive, driven, down-to-earth communications expert with a passion for creating inclusive and accessible communities for the Deaf, DeafBlind, and Blind.I am interested in connecting with professionals in my field to collaborate on improving inclusivity, diversity, equity, and accessibility in our local communities.
