Full stack development with Ruby on Rails, Postgresql, and React.js/GraphQL/Apollo for front-end work.Responsible for various front-end projects, filling out some of the testing framework (RSpec), and was one of the engineers that got to take a pass at the overarching asset upload system, which was really interesting (they are an asset hosting service).

Continued responsibilities from previous position, also started work on a full architectural design of Optimal's internal Content Management System. The CMS included a full in-browser HTML/CSS editor/navigator, custom widget system consisting of a template builder, custom data access, and some simple logic systems like custom formatters, loops, and simple conditionals. The CMS proved hugely successful for content development speed and accuracy and further improvements providing documentation, widget examples, and a widget tag generator continued these gains.Periodically responsible for onboarding external systems as they were acquired. This usually consisted of codebase analysis, partial or full rewrites, and data transfer/cleanup, among other things. I worked with codebases in various languages including legacy Ruby on Rails, Python, and PHP.One project I found particularly interesting during this time was importing data records from a large XML file (3-4M records) that updated daily. I was able to get this to process, updating, removing, and adding records where appropriate in roughly 20-30 minutes!
