As a project engineer I performed various tasks related to the sales of vibration control products and seismic restraint systems. Worked extensively on BIM projects providing a 3D coordinated seismic brace layout for many large OSHPD compliant jobs. As a team we greatly reduced the lead time to provide the completed submittal package. Completed anchorage calculations for MEP equipment (e.g. pumps, boilers, chillers, electrical panels) for commercial and OSHPD jobs and in some cases designed custom steel supports with unistrut, angle, and/or HSS members. Modeled custom cooling tower frames in 3D on AutoCAD for incorporating in the building model. Completed many on site visits to come up with solutions for field issues, to educate construction workers on the installation of the product, and worked with inspectors to answer RFI comments.

Promoted from Jr. Mechanical Designer to Mechanical Designer and Project Manager As a mechanical designer I performed various tasks related to HVAC and MEP design.Specialized in residential penthouse design which meant we often had to go beyond industry standards to come up with creative solutions to unique problems. Built energy models of single family residential, commercial, and high rise buildings to meet code, select equipment, and meet LEED requirements. I also designed ductwork layout, completed radiant floor system designs, responded to RFIs, and wrote proposals.

As a student I took on the school's full time job of organizing and running the intramural sports program. Tasks included, purchasing equipment, hiring student representatives and referees, reserving athletic complexes, referee training, budgeting, maintaining the intramural website, tracking participation, payroll, and writing rules. Participation increased each year I held this title and the number of events increased from 8 to over 30. My last year there were almost 2000 participants (up from 990 before I started) and I managed around 20 people working under me.

For the summer before my senior year I acted as an engineering assistant to 3 groups in the engineering department. This included using AutoCad for Land Use maps, Vacant Area maps, and other drawings, researching parts, ordering products, and putting together proposals. I also assisted with a project dealing with the removal of Arsenic from well water in which I helped design a testing apparatus, took samples, and tested different media.
