• Developed a 4-layer PCB for high current (160A) power distribution in Altium Designer with power management and protection features, providing a more capable and consolidated solution over discrete COTS hardware.• Designed custom 60W switched-mode buck converters to supply different voltage rails from a single 24V battery source, achieving output voltage ripples of less than 2.5% under heavy load.• Constructed a HITL test setup that uses multiple sensors to characterize expected power demands and transient suppression requirements for motor controllers under various stress conditions.• Wrote code in C++ to allow Arduinos and STM32 microcontrollers to communicate with other sensors and devices over I2C, SPI, UART, and CAN.• Validated custom PCB hardware using lab equipment, used DC power supplies to simulate different battery voltage conditions, diagnosed and resolved multiple issues stemming from board assembly through unit testing.
