I was born in a small town in rural Ohio in a family of educators who believed the best way to learn is to experience it. This focus on experiential learning has carried with me from rural Ohio to my life in Toledo as I am captive to the world in which I live. Everyone has a story and everyone is connected. I love to hear stories and history of the lives of I meet. While there are many areas I could possibly spend my time, I have chosen to spend my time in the field of healthcare for the past 20+ years. The reason I have chosen this large niche is that I believe all of us are cared for and must be treated as unique individuals. Our healthcare system is wonderful, dysfunctional and beneficial but like all of us needs guidance and interpersonal connections. I have worked for the past 20+ years making sure the back end of healthcare functions as best as possible so we are able to make sure those on the front lines are able to care in the midst of all the documentation and matrix of challenges that healthcare takes.
