Hired to oversee, manage, and grow the west region at Sioux Steel Company. Which is a agricultural based manufacturer, wholesaler, and distributor which specialized in steel products and hoop building structures. Daily tasks involve but not limited to making sales calls, creating quotes, entering orders, customer retention and growth, and lastly building a valuable customer relationship.

Hired on to be a territory sales representative in the states of Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and South Dakota for a start up sales rep group Tier 1 Sales. Our rep group specialized in creating and maintaining long lasting relationships with buyers and manufacturers of big-box retailers, distributors, buying groups and independent dealers. Main product lines were concentrated and focused around products in the outdoor and hunting industry.

I was accountable for overseeing, managing, and sales in a defined territory at Hutchison Western which is a agricultural based manufacturer, wholesaler, and distributor which specialized in steel products, farm equipment, and lumber goods. I joined Hutchison Western during a time of company expansion as there were not territory sales representatives living or traveling in the defined target sector on a normal basis. During my tenure I worked within a geographical area that included the eastern portions of South Dakota and North Dakota which accounted for a multi million dollar region. I grew accounts each year exponentially, created new accounts annually, and handled inbound and outbound calls to vendors while completing daily business tasks such as quotes, entering orders, and composing daily sales reports.

Worked with my father in general contractor work. We created a carpentry business to successfully complete small "fix it up" jobs. I have experience with building and assembling numerous things. Through this work experience i have gained a appreciation for hard work, and first hand business experience.

Organized and planned season ticket holder parties and meetings.Planned and executed theme nights, brought in groups that participated in theme nights. Hired to sell 5 game ticket packs new for the 2012 season. Main goals was to bring in new premium customers with the 5 game packs. Made 60 outbound calls daily, made cold calls, and also met with perspective clients outside the office. Developed and promoted a marketing campaign related to the 5 game ticket packs.

Hired for the Summer of 2010 for the American Association (Sioux City Explorers) Independent League of Baseball. When hired my official title was marketing an promotions intern. My experience with Sioux City was much more than that however. I have used the box office to sell group and single game tickets. I have used cold calling techniques to phone local business and corporations to obtain signage for the main concourse and stadium walls. I have set up group outing nights such as: (Bankers night and Service Club Night). I have have club house experience working first hand with the players. Performed the necessary tasks to run the on-field promotions. Have developed on field promotion games, and came up with a theme and prize list for the related promotions activity. I worked hand in hand with customers during the game to ensure they are enjoying their experience at the baseball stadium. I worked with the field crew to rake, dry, and chalk the lines on the field. I took pride in this job as it has given me the necessary experience to work in professional sports, and have taken the time and commitment to ensure our clients were happy.

Worked with a small group of students to develop a plan to bring a regional trap shot to the Vermilion community. In this venture i worked with local sponsors to secure funding and prizes, media outlets to promote the event, and worked directly with the final product and the event turned out great. Creating an event from nothing to making a positive profit is something i can always take with me.
