Responsible for facilitating and directing activities to deliver projects according to nVent’s 3D development and Sustaining processes, providing leadership and guidance to both new product development and Sustaining projects. This role will oversee product development, testing and sustaining activities and ensure effective and efficient project completion.RESPONSIBILITIES:Project Management • Work with key engineering and product manager stakeholders in developing project scope, goals, required project resources, requirements and specification. • Define, document, and manage internal group project tasks and time lines. • Identify and manage project issues and risks. Assess project issues and risks and develop mitigation strategies. Act as first point of contact for project problem resolution and escalation. • Coordinate work across multiple projects and/or deliverables working with key cross-functionalstakeholders and with 3rd party development resources. • Facilitate team project meetings and provide direction. • Ensure deliverables meet project requirements, cost objectives and quality requirements (free of major defects). • Monitor overall 3D and group project progression, against project timeline, milestones, tasks and dependencies, resource expectations, cross-functional scorecard critical tasks, project cost and ensuring product quality is maintained. • Participate in cross-functional meetings including 3rd party vendors, coordinate and conduct internal engineering meetings, initiate working sessions to maintain project timelines, and drive issue resolution. • Identify critical paths and roadblocks within a project and offer solutions to roadblocks. People Management • Manage a team consisting of up to six direct reports. • Responsible for performance goal setting, mid- and end- of the year performance reviews, and development objectives for a team.
