Engineer with over 2 years combined experience in production and manufacturing roles. Experienced working with diverse teams in order to implement a variety of manufacturing tools and methodologies.Some of my top experiences and accomplishments include:• Designed and implemented a new gripper design that only needs replaced once every two weeks while the prior design needed to be changed every shift.• Discovered a root cause to a scrap/quality issue and communicated a solution to an outside contractor. After a three and a half month payback, the monthly savings will be $2,400.• As a Co-Op, I designed several inspection tables while communicating with the quality department to ensure their needs were met. Tables were designed with flat stainless steel tops so that brake lines could be rolled out on them to ensure the tubes were not bowed. The tables were also equipped with casters so they would be mobile enough to move out of the way in case someone needed to get inside the machine.• Worked with production control to schedule the production of various sample parts and then worked with the logistical supervisor to ensure prompt shipment to Canada to ensure their design could produce all the parts we needed it to. I also traveled to Canada to meet with the machine builder to ensure the project was on schedule and up to our standards.• Created a standard guide cone for the plating line by taking measurements with calipers and drawing it in Solidworks. Added appropriate tolerances and had them quoted by a machine shop and had the appropriate number ordered and installed.I get excited about opportunities that push me to be a better leader and gain experience and knowledge that will benefit me in my career.
