I am the first line of defense against routine, complex, and unique technical problems afflicting mission-critical manufacturing equipment's performance, efficiency, safety, quality, and robustness.𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐈 𝐋𝐈𝐊𝐄 𝐁𝐄𝐒𝐓:As a Field Service Engineer, I have never worked a 9-5 desk job. My career has constantly challenged me to think on my feet, working alone and with engineering and operations teams at customer sites in remote and metropolitan areas.𝐖𝐇𝐘 𝐄𝐍𝐆𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆:I have always been hands-on and enjoy logically thinking through problems, devising solutions, and persuading others on why a certain method is best. Engineering was a natural fit.I have had the opportunity to work in both extreme and controlled environments. My first job was with an energy services company, working in bitterly cold temperatures and fierce storms while leading and supporting chemical process technology initiatives. Since transitioning to the semiconductor manufacturing industry, I have worked in a clean room environment where every surface is as clean as a phone screen whose plastic covering has just been removed.Both experiences have allowed me to work with people to solve problems in routine and stressful situations while expanding my skillset into new equipment and process technology.𝐌𝐘 𝐂𝐎𝐑𝐄 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐓𝐒:Keeping a cool head in demanding situations also keeps the people I work with calm.I also draw on the following:⚙️Attention to Detail | Field work takes me to new facilities and equipment where precision and accuracy are critical. The smallest errors can lead to financial losses and potentially dangerous situations.⚙️Patience & Deliberation | Whether the problem is routine or ambiguous, I take a process-oriented approach to evaluate the issue, determine its root cause, and develop solutions that consider downstream impacts. This approach has supported me in training new Field Service Engineers in best engineering practices and other complex tasks.⚙️ Communication & Teamwork | While my priority is helping customers solve problems, it is just as important that whomever I am working with is confident that they are in capable hands.𝐌𝐘 𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐒:Efficiency and productivity go hand-in-hand with being healthy. I often research different workout programs and challenge myself to try them in a shed I converted into a gym.I also enjoy cooking and exploring new perspectives through non-fiction books. One of my favorite books focuses on the importance of breathing.
