As General Manager of The Tap Room, I oversaw day-to-day operations, as well as seasonal expectations, and held numerous responsibilities including, but not limited to, sales and marketing, personnel, payroll, inventory, and bookkeeping. As GM, I transformed the work environment with hands-on leadership that involved being present for every shift, managing customer satisfaction through interaction. My greatest accomplishments include sustaining revenue and increasing gross-profit YOY as a result of reducing overhead by nearly 25 percent.

As Director of Operations, I oversaw day-to-day activities on the farm, managing our team with positive leadership techniques, while keeping a focus on seasonal objectives including crop scheduling, poultry and egg production management, slaughter scheduling, harvest scheduling, and employee satisfaction.A main component of the farm's business model was serving as the produce supplier for farm-to-table fare at the onsite Tap Room, while other generated sales came through supplying eggs and poultry to both local restaurants, as well as restaurants in the Metro Detroit Area.Amidst my service as director, our team had assembled seasonal calendars that included many community oriented events such as Fall Harvest hay rides, corn mazes for the later summer months, October pumpkin sales strategies, and our annual 'Oktoberfest' event where patrons of the on-site Tap Room could feel engaged in the farm and other farm activities.

As co-founder and head brewer of The Tap Room at Bird Creek Farms on site nano-brew house, Broken Rock Brewing Company, I performed multifaceted functions including recipe engineering, manufacturing, production scheduling, inventory management (for both our product and our raw materials used in production), sales and marketing, and employee scheduling and payroll. Following a rigorous schedule that was necessary to meet demand while dealing with a limited infrastructure, we were able to bolster sales using exclusive distribution to our onsite tap room, offering a selection of over 14 different styles of beer, including our flagship beers "P.A.P.A" (Port Austin Pale Ale) and the Small Town Nut Brown.Furthermore, I was responsible for completing and filing production and sales reports to the State of Michigan and MLCC in compliance with beer production practices, and created a production system that allowed minimal wastage, while creating a network with local farmers to source main ingredients including malted barley and hops.

After gaining experience as a bar tender, I transferred and applied my knowledge to the position of Bar Manager at The Tap Room at Bird Creek Farms. In this opportunity, I was responsible for all individuals behind the bar during service, displaying a level of committed leadership that created a positive environment for fellow staff, and oversaw employee-customer interaction that assured the best service possible. I was also responsible for completing weekly beverage and liquor ordering, while maintaining a lean, well managed inventory, and was in charge of booking events and managing our entertainment calendar.
