This role was located in Cenovus Christina Lake – Under Cenovus OSO OperationsRole Accountabilities:• Complete Inside and outside rounds in the FG steam plant• Assist in the operation of a Gas Turbine/HRSG Unit• Lockout systems for repair and maintenance• Ensure the safety of contractors completing work on-site• Perform equipment run-ups and shutdowns as required

In this role I was responsible for:- Securing and isolating areas containing hazardous equipment- Writing work orders and safety permits - Managing and directing subcontractorsAs a Foreman, I was accountable for:- Creating a safe work environment for employees and contractors- Ensuring public worksites remained safe for public use at all times- Performance of a team including employees and/or subcontractors- Ensuring proper set up of site including signage, safety mandatory items and personnel- Maintenance and professional operation of company vehicles in my custody

In this role I was responsible for:- Conducting risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities- Filing reports with recommendations to enhance security- Collaborating with law enforcement and fire personnel to ensure public safety- Reviewing active footage of surveillance cameras- Ensuring proper working order of control room equipment- Maintaining security of sensitive and restricted areas- Maintenance and professional operation of company vehicles in my custodyThis role requires shift work, including days, evenings, and nights on a varied schedule.
