•Project Engineering:-Work with Engineering and production personnel to ensure project completion. •Assistance to other departments:-Assist marketing/sales by providing technical data for brochures and producing quotations-Accompany salesman, when necessary to provide technical expertise-Assist other departments in regard to problems associated with the manufacture of products •Project Schedule:-Plan engineering work schedule for assigned sales orders-Keep all interested partied informed of progress•Scope of Design Work:-Research and development engineering-Responsible for all technical aspects of an assigned sales order including quotation, specifications, manufacture, test, installation and service issues•Product Design and Development:-Prepare conceptual drawings and layouts-Perform research, analysis, and calculations according to industry standards-Select materials and processes to achieve cost and performance objectives.-Establish cost estimates•Product Testing:-Assemble and test prototypes-Develop test procedures-Document all results•Project Documentation:-Maintain project files in an organized and professional manner•Travel as needed to support product sales, service department, field runs and troubleshooting•Communicate with in-house and field personnel as needed•Communicate with third party regulatory agencies•Know and understand Sparrows Offshore’ Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality System Manual, Operation and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions•Understand and comply with all Safety and Environmental requirements•Perform any other duties as required by Supervisor within the physical constraints of the job

Responsible for implementing Project Engineering activities, to include:-Order/Contract Review-Project Financial Control & Reporting-Project Planning & Reporting-Project Management of Design (to include compilation of Design Data Books comprising engineering calculations, drawings, method statements, planning charts and implementation procedures), Fabrication & Assembly project phases, as applicable.-Management of Project Procurement (to include preparation of project Bill of Materials)-Workpack Preparation and Review (to include preparation of engineering procedures, risk assessments, construction and commissioning checksheets etc.)-Project Implementation-Project Invoicing-Project Close-Out

Assisted department head, Dr. Gomez-Rivas, in designing and analyzing lab tests of material properties in order to compare the results to theory. Responsible for presenting the lab processes and results, while providing assistance to the students.
