As the Director and CEO of Send It 4 The Sea, I had the privilege of leading a dynamic 501c3 non-profit organization based in the vibrant coastal community of Miami, Florida. Our mission was multi-faceted, encompassing awareness, community engagement, conservation, and adventure education, all in the name of protecting our beloved oceans.Our organization's work was driven by a passionate team and community volunteers. We leveraged the power of social media to raise awareness on critical coastal issues, partnered with local governments to advocate for conservation efforts, organized impactful clean-up events, promoted mangrove restoration initiatives, and delivered adventure education experiences.One of the highlights of my tenure at Send It 4 The Sea was leading a record-breaking clean-up event in Cutler Bay, where our dedicated team and an average of 100 community members collected a staggering 5 tonnes of garbage in a single day. In total, we removed a remarkable 15,000 pounds of trash from our beautiful coastal areas.During my time as CEO, I mentored and empowered four high school interns, providing them with hands-on experience and knowledge to make a meaningful difference in our community.
