Senior Associate
Advisory Associate
Teaching Assistant
As a Corporate Innovation & Entrepreneurship Teaching Assistant in the Smeal College of Business, I was primarily responsible for reviewing students' work, grading their assignments, and providing feedback on course content. The feedback I provided was all about new venture creation and product ideation. While I was focused on providing great feedback to students in order to allow them to learn, this process strengthened my understanding on how organizations create value, develop effective business models, and conduct user experience research. This experience took place during the breaking of the COVID-19 pandemic, so I had to pivot and have an open line of communication with the professor I was working with in order to deliver results.
Division Of Development And Alumni Relations Intern
I was very fortunate to work at the Penn State Alumni Association with their Engagement and Resource Development teams. During the summer of 2019, I focused on developing a recommendation on how to tap into the power of our affiliate groups to help drive the Alumni Association’s membership in the future. During my senior year, I operationalized my recommendation and created a robust timeline to implement it. I engaged PSAA employees, leadership, volunteers, and Alumni Council to ease the transition of this new membership model.I also had the opportunity to travel to meet our wonderful alumni leaders and donors throughout the mid-Atlantic region.
Chairman
As chairman of the UPSFB, I was responsible for the allocation of over $50 million dollars in student fees over the course of two academic years. This required me to work with both the leadership of the University as well as the student body to understand the needs and wants of the institution and allocate accordingly. During my two years as UPSFB chairman, I helped fund projects related to facility expansions on campus, diversity & inclusion, and a campus-wide connectivity initiative.
Chair Of Student Life, At-Large Representative
As Chair of Student Life, I was able to put my project management skills to the test. Over the course of the year, I was responsible for overseeing 15 individuals' work, executing 18 major projects, and getting to work as a core member of our Steering committee. The best part of my job was getting to tackle some of the largest issues facing the student body and implement real change at Penn State. Some of the issues I was able to address were related to mental health & wellness, sexual violence awareness & prevention, and security through multiple lenses on our campus.
Vice Chair Of Student Life, At-Large Representative
Being vice chair taught me a great deal of what it means to support others in their work. I was responsible for assisting the chair with whatever tasks she needed to get done, and also be a resource for all of the committee members.
Freshman Council Member
As a member of UPUA's Freshman Council, I was able to immerse myself into an organization, which I grew to love. My first year in UPUA was highlighted by learning the ins and outs of the organization, building lifelong friendships, and, most importantly, helping get massage chairs in our student union.
