- The single point responsible for maintaining accountable records and supervising the maintenance of 24 Submarine Launched Ballistic Missiles (SLBM) as well as ensuring the reliability of over 40 personnel directly responsible for safeguarding the nuclear weapons assets assigned to WYOMING as one of the nation’s 14 strategic missile submarines. - As Ship’s Duty Officer and Strategic Weapons Duty Officer in port I planned daily execution of the ship’s refit schedule for four intensive refits, including two dry docked periods, each composed of over a million man-hours of work.- During over two dozen nuclear weapons handling evolutions I supervised approximately 50 personnel and oversaw planning of daily and weekly work, manning and setting of security details, shift balancing and missile and warhead technical operations, while simultaneously maintaining required records of every aspect of each event.- As the resident expert in strategic planning, targeting and execution of the nuclear war plan, I was responsible to communicate the needs and requirements of a team of 20 missile technicians with the Commanding Officer and advise him on all aspects of processing directives, troubleshooting system faults, and planning ship placement and operational schedule, as well as providing interpretation and guidance on the execution of the strategic war plan as directed by United States Strategic Command and the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Armed Forces of the United States.- Developed and oversaw execution of the ship’s nuclear weapons monitoring program. This program developed timelines and metrics for the assigned leaders (up to and including the Commanding Officer) to use during internal audits and inspections of technical operations, records and interviews of personnel to ensure compliance with Navy and DoD regulations.

Assistant Operations Officer And Testing Section Head - Military Entrance Processing Station (Meps)
- Responsible for interpreting and executing nearly a dozen different sets of regulations with regard to military applicant medical, legal and personal history. Supervised a team of over a dozen people, consisting of medical personnel, military standards verification workers, test administrators and travel coordinators, both military and civilian in the day to day operations of the Boise Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS), ensuring the rapid screening of applicants for all branches of the armed forces and other government agencies.- Directly responsible for the personnel and operations of the testing section (6 people) which administered the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) to as many as 400 or more applicants per week.- Coordinated directly with the Idaho State Superintendent of Education to receive his endorsement for the ASVAB program, and to encourage all high schools in the state to administer the test in support of career exploration and military recruiting. Following that meeting I met with over a dozen school principals and administrators to discuss the ASVAB program and what it could offer their schools. Over 5,000 students took the ASVAB in Idaho high schools in the year following that action, the most in 5 years.- Frequently sought out for my communications abilities to work with senior recruiting area commanders to clarify applicant issues and educate leaders on recruiter shortfalls.
