Mr. Cathey provides leadership and guidance for a rapidly expanding commercial real estate firm handling billions of dollars in transaction volume. Ensuring the execution of strategic goals, Mr. Cathey is responsible for developing teams across multiple lines of business—in offices from Miami to Atlanta—and prioritizing the components of Franklin Street's national growth. Mr. Cathey advises on business services and geographic expansion, oversees the corporate functions of the company, and recruits and develops top talent. Alongside his team, Cathey establishes goals for individual and corporate successes, driving the realization of both. Additionally, Mr. Cathey provides counsel for the company and its Board of Directors on all legal matters; in this respect, he manages litigation risk, protects the company's corporate assets, and advises on regulatory issues.

Eual Tyler Cathey was appointed Chief Deputy Attorney General of Florida in January 2014. He serves as the principal adviser to Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi on all legal and administrative matters and is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Office of the Attorney General. On the legal front, Mr. Cathey oversees: the Agency's Civil Litigation division representing state agencies in litigation throughout Florida; its Consumer Protection division which serves as the civil enforcement authority for all multi-circuit violations of the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act and antitrust violations; its Criminal Appeals division which represents and defends the prosecution of all criminal appeals in state and federal courts, including capital murder cases; its Medicaid Fraud Unit which investigates and prosecutes Medicaid fraud throughout the state; its Solicitor General's office which oversees civil appeals to the Florida Supreme Court, U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeal, and the United States Supreme Court; and the Office of Statewide Prosecution which prosecutes multi-circuit organized crime and assists other state and federal enforcement officials in their efforts against organized crime. Administratively, Mr. Cathey leads and manages: the Agency's Legislative Affairs office, the offices of Citizen Services and of Civil Rights, several outside commissions and councils housed in the Office of the Attorney General, and all Attorney General's Opinions. Additionally, he provides counsel to the Attorney General in her capacity as a member of the Florida Cabinet where she serves collectively, with the Commissioner of Agriculture and the Chief Financial Officer, as agency head for the DHSMV, FDLE, Dept. of Revenue, and Veteran's Affairs, and as a member of the Clemency Board, as well as various other boards and commissions addressing state lands, state investments, and rules pertaining to insurance and financial regulation.
