My experience in political and communications strategy helps me untangle the complexities of today's hyperpartisan, fragmented, and fast-paced media ecosystem into effective, winning messages. Working at the intersection of politics, policy, and advocacy, I have crafted and executed strategic communications plans for dozens of governmental, political, non-profit, advocacy, corporate, and legal organizations, including earned, paid and digital media strategy, crisis communications, speechwriting, debate and hearing prep, litigation strategy, and thought leadership and brand-building. I currently serve as Associate Communications Director at the White House. I previously served as Communications Director at the Department of the Interior, where I managed and executed Department-wide communications and media strategy to advance the Biden-Harris administration's environment, conservation, and clean energy priorities. Previously, I also served as Director of Rapid Response for the Biden-Harris Arizona campaign, where I managed the state campaign’s rapid response message development, long-term media planning, and surrogate booking. I also previously worked as a Director of Public Affairs at the political consulting firm SKDK. I started my career as a Campaigns Associate at Media Matters for America and interned at the Center for American Progress, for Congressman Henry Waxman, and for California State Senator Fran Pavley. I am a Los Angeles native and graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a degree in political science and minors in civic engagement and gender studies.
