Virtualization Consultant for the Global Infrastructure Consulting Services Team.

Primarily responsible for implementing, upgrading and maintaining the VMware Infrastructure and virtual servers. The infrastructure consists of 77 hosts and 530 virtual machines at multiple sites, including disaster recovery. Planned and implemented migration of the ESX infrastructure from 3.0.1 to 3.5 as well as storage migrations across multiple array platforms. Responsible for server maintence, troubleshooting and updates to the virtual servers as well as the virtual infrastructure. Also provide support for 110 servers of Metaframe 4.0, and 4.5 Citrix farms which run 320 applications. Implemented Citrix 4.5, Web Interface 4.6 and Secure Gateway 3.0. Responsibilities also include application maintenance, troubleshooting, and new project implementation. Have also worked with several healthcare vendors to certify their software for use with Windows servers running on VMware ESX.

Primary role involved implementation of all new facilities including design, installation and support. Provide support for VMWare ESX 2.5 and 3.0, desktop computers, laptops, terminals, wireless PDAs, printers and scanners as well as multiple VM servers, and networking equipment. Duties include design, purchase, implementation and documentation of various hardware and software solutions. Acted as domain administrator maintaining and updating servers, tape backup system, technical libraries and providing desktop support.

Responsible for maintaining up to date telecommunications maps of the City of Stillwater and the surrounding area. Create and issue work prints for new cable plant of both fiber optic and traditional copper cable. Maintain records on current locations that are servable by Chickasaw Telecommunications.

Worked full time for the summer as night and weekend IT support. Provided 24 hour support for Windows XP and 2000 desktops and laptops, VMWare and 2003 servers, handheld scanners, printers and symbol pda's.

Completed a migration from Novell to a full Windows environment. Rebuilt and configured over 100 computers. Provided support for both the Oklahoma City department and multiple off site locations. Supported various hardware including Compaq, Gateway, and Dell desktops, Dell and Toshiba laptops, as well as Symbol hand held devices and Hp Thinclients.
