Provide analytical support to the development and administration of the Credit Union’s compensation plan to optimize hiring and maximize employee retention. Participate in benchmarking surveys, and analyze the results to align with market data and determine competitive positioning of the organizations compensation program. Make recommendations regarding the design of the organization’s compensation structure, salary grades and ranges, merit increases, and incentive plans based on current trends and other market indicators. Partner with Talent Acquisition and management to identify job duties for new positions, write job descriptions, and ensure they are priced and graded appropriately. Maintain the Credit Union’s inventory of job descriptions. Analyze internal pay increases practices to appropriately pace progression, and maintain pay equity. Support day-to-day compensation activities including approval of pay increases, preparing ad-hoc job analysis as needed, and distribution of compensation statements.

Administered North American compensation for more than 10,000 colleagues across Canada and the United States. Implemented and tested new digital programs to streamline compensation processes. Conducted peer equity reviews to ensure colleagues were compensated equitably based on tenure in role and performance. Met with colleagues daily to help them understand their individual compensation questions, structure, and trajectory at the Firm. Collaborated with the recruiting and human resource functions to set and approve candidate offers.

For most of my academic career, I worked at the USF student-run radio station, Bulls Radio. In my time at the station, I served a variety of roles including News Director and Technical Director of Bulls Radio, but my passion at the station was working in the Sports Department. I have broadcasted USF football, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s soccer, volleyball, softball, and baseball. I am also responsible for the multimedia sports content produced for the Bulls Radio website and the station’s social media accounts.

For a year, I was the graduate assistant for a two-and-a-half minute newsbreak produced by USF undergraduate students. The Florida Focus newsbreak is an advance course in the USF School of Mass Communications, and airs on WUSF-TV in Tampa. I managed the content, edited scripts, and made sure the overall production quality of the newsbreak met WUSF-TV’s standards. I worked diligently with my students, offering them advice on news writing and helping them reach their full potential. I helped Florida Focus evolve from a basic newscast to a medium for creativity, growth and experience.

I produced content for UWIRE. The company provides a platform for college students across the country to have their content exposed nationally. I wrote articles, shot game photos, and produced video packages for the website, http://palestra.net/. Note - palestra.net is now unavailable.
