Develop, coordinate and execute continuous improvement activities at all levels and functions of the organization using lean and process improvement principles and techniques. Lead the manufacturing site to focus on reducing waste, yield savings, improve efficiencies, improve quality, meet customer’s needs and achieve site and division goals. - Provide leadership and training on lean philosophies and continuous improvement tools to the manufacturing site and at other divisional sites when required. - Prepare for and facilitate continuous improvement activities such as rapid improvement events and kaizen blitzes. Assure follow up actions are visual to stakeholders and are driven to closure.- Monitor and report on all savings and Lean activities.- Facilitate the development, follow through and adjustment of a Lean strategy plan for the site. Assess and report on site progress to keep implementation on track.- Work closely with other divisional Lean facilitators to identify opportunities for best practices within the site and other sites. Drive implementation of divisional process platforms and standards.- Provide ongoing training focused on lean, process improvements and safety. - Provide leadership to focus on sound safety and environmental practices.

- Provide diverse support of Quality activities for the manufacturing of large electrical generators with the direction from the QA Manager.- Participate in 5S events along with Kaizen and LEAN Enterprise activities.- Develop suppliers to meet quality requirements and qualify new suppliers.- Support customer complaints with expedient problem resolution.- Guide inspection staff through disposition of non-conforming material.- Develop Quality Control Plans and PPAP’s for new products and implement lean manufacturing and fool proofing strategies on the production floor.- Perform internal ISO9001 self-assessment audits and support external customer and agency audits of the Quality System.- Work with calibration staff to resolve calibration problems and reduce operating costs of measurement and test equipment.- Act as project leader for factory improvement efforts related to reduced costs and improved quality.- Write and revise operating procedures to comply with new and changed practices as well as external agency certification.- Deliver innovation in quality control systems that provide increased customer satisfaction and are compatible with Oracle ERP system.- Assist Quality Manager with plant and department quality performance metrics and report and act on quality Indicators.
