I'm a Computer Science Tutor with 2 years of experience, in addition to my years of schooling in Information Technology. My Technical experience includes fixing coding bugs, database errors, and explaining coding concepts. I have collaborated and aided students from understanding complex principles to looking for errors in their code or databases. Some examples of this may include: - As a computer science tutor with Tutor Smart Academy, I worked with a college student to improve their understanding of Java concepts including Inheritance, Classes, Lists, Dictionaries, and Polymorphism. In doing so, I helped the student to improve both their understanding of their assignments, as well as their grades in the class. - As a computer science tutor with Columbia Basin College, I have worked with students who needed assistance in databases, including Database Relations, and SQL/SQL Server in addition to coding problems in C++, Java, and Python. I worked to help them understand what needed to be worked on, where bugs may arise in their code, and helped them to complete their assignments on time. I get excited when there are opportunities to help people, working with data to visualize, in the administration side of databases, and seeing how programs work behind the scenes.
