Upgrading the process control infrastructure, across Olin’s manufacturing sites, from MOD to DeltaV. Supporting operations in troubleshooting MOD and DeltaV issues. Assist in the creation of custom control tools and models that are able to be leveraged across our plants.

Leading efforts in the utilization of capital with the objective of optimizing Olin's upstream and midstream epoxy business.• Appointed project manager in the middle of the procurement phase for a $1.6MM project. Utilized data analysis techniques, while following EPA requirements, to free up $1.6MM in capital by proving our equipment never exceeded the EPA MMBTU/hr limit. • Updated code on Allen-Bradley PLC to improve operational reliability of a pressure swing adsorber which will improve the carbon bed life by over 250%. Resulting in $50M/yr in productivity savings.• Participated in a corporate led business dissection, in which I helped take data into Power BI to build a model of customer volumes and margins. This was used to identify the top 5 key areas that could be adjusted to increase EBITDA within the company. • Designed Excel VBA, Python, JMP, SQL, IP.21 scripts to save upwards of 1000 hours/year. These sheets saved time managing projects, importing data, troubleshooting operational issues, and generating reports.

• Initialized a product change trial, based on collaborative data, to lower batch cook times by 120 minutes (20% improvement, $1 MM/year savings).• Lead quality and safety root cause meetings to ensure safe and reliable production (0 loss time, 90% first pass compliance).• Designed multiple VBA systems in excel linked to Aspen Process Explorer to produce S&OP Charts and limit reoccurring daily tasks.• Troubleshoot asset downtime to determine corrective actions for reoccurring issues. Continuously update DeltaV and PLC code to eliminate timing bugs and P&ID loops. (Run time increase of 10% YOY).• Gemba Walks with leadership team to ensure high GMP and equipment standards. (Over 90% GMP audit score achieved quarterly).• Monitored departmental Quality and Safety inspections, meeting 100% compliance for 2021 year. (Only operations department on site with perfect compliance in a plant employing over 500 employees).

• Led a plant audit, alongside the Global Director of Energy, that revealed corrective actions able to improve energy savings and allowing us to meet global initiatives within the company. (5% YOY reduction).• Worked alongside QA, as part of the Food Safety Team, to meet GMP, FSSC22000 and Internal Audit requirements.• Trained in Team Leadership, Incident Analysis, Air Monitor Use, WHMIS 2015, Maintenance Planning and Scheduling, Minitab Statistical Software, FSSC22000, Confined Space, Fall Protection, Working at Heights per Saskatchewan regulation.• Designed plant wide safety KPI, MOC, and Process Safety trackers to maintain communication across all plant functions (ended year with 0 outstanding tasks).• Updated all P&ID’s using AutoCad LT 2019 software (process streams, valves, field labels)• Supported operations personnel to meet a goal of 1 MM metric tons of canola crushed per year (5% increase YOY).• Rolled out a digital excellence platform using VBA and excel to create a paperless data entry system utilized by operators for all lab sampling. • Linked the operator inputs via Power BI to build a real time report that would monitor the health of all major assets within the plant. (Allowed for the leadership team to remote access all operator data inputted hourly).• Updated and managed OPEX budget within the Crush/Extraction department (5% reduction YOY).

• Utilized statistical knowledge to build a spare parts inventory system with min/max order units based on usage and lead times. (Reduction of $1 MM in spare parts inventory).• Drove the implementation of a reliability program, delivered by a third-party contractor to reduce equipment downtime, and maintain 70% PM schedule attainment via reduction of emergency breakdowns (20% increase in run time YOY).

• Ensured timely completion of all planned maintenance and shutdown turnovers by working alongside maintenance planner to ensure allocated time was not exceeded.• Acted as assigned gatekeeper for all maintenance planning and scheduling meetings, helping to direct focus towards critical jobs ensuring 24/7 operation.• Coordinated with operators to create standard work tasks, helping to align expectations between operators and leadership team.

• Worked with AkzoNobel’s process engineer to implement a simulation using Mynah Technology software. • Utilized Bailey control logic and batch recipes to construct a simulation that could be used to train operators and test potential logic changes• Successfully simulated the MEKP sector under multiple different batch recipes and tested minor plant logic changes within the simulation• Demonstrated the potential uses of the simulation to over a dozen offsite operators from the Houston surfactant site and explained the plants MEKP process by using the simulations fast forward capabilities.
