Shaped the developer experience for Google Earth Engine, a cloud-based geospatial analysis platform that pioneered massive global-scale analysis of environmental data. Grew the Earth Engine community from 5 users to 50,000 monthly active users. Managed the developer relations team that supports sustainability focused products including Earth Engine and Google Earth, served on the leadership team for Earth Engine, and led the development of Earth Engine’s core efforts in water and climate. Fostered collaborations and partnerships with researchers, NGOs, and governmental organizations seeking to capitalize on Earth Engine’s capabilities. Established the OpenET project (https://openetdata.org/) with the NASA, Desert Research Institute (DRI), and the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) to bring transparency to water usage across the landscape.

Provided Google Earth Engine and Maps Engine technical deployment support to government and other Enterprise Geo partners on pilot projects.

Developed collaborations with faculty (environmental data collection with smartphones, building web based interfaces for water quality and atmospheric measurements.

Served as technical lead and project manager on a variety of geospatial information data management and analysis projects for federal, state, and local agencies. Established MichiganView consortium (https://michiganview.org/) and served as the principal investigator. Served as the Technical Chair of AmericaView.

Collaborated with members of the UCAR/NCAR climate modeling and weather forecasting groups and Unidata to create tools that integrate common geospatial tools with multidimensional datasets.

Served as technical lead and project manager on a variety of geospatial information data management and analysis projects for federal, state, and local agencies. (Note: This research group was acquired by Michigan Technological University.)
