Aunt Bertha's mission is to connect all people in need and programs that can help them (with dignity and ease). We make it easy for people to find and connect with free and reduced cost food, health, housing and education (and more) programs. We work with 150+ hospital systems, health insurers, gov't's, corporations, non-profits (like Red Cross and AARP), schools and community colleges, prisons and more to help their staff and those they serve find and connect with programs that can help them. ABOUT UNREASONABLE INSTITUTE (now Uncharted):Unreasonable Institute exists to give entrepreneurs tackling the world's biggest problems an unfair advantage to grow their business and impact by using mentorship, capital, and a robust, cohesive, global network to make it happen.WHAT I DID:-Founder, built the first programs/curriculum/partners, selected the first entrepreneurs, even secured housing for our first few programs, etc.-Develop our venture fundraising prep curriculum and programs-Build and manage our Financial Architect program-Build and maintain relationships with 300+ impact funders-Build an impact funder database that was sharable with the world-Organize Investor Days Events-Organize Funder Boot Camp Events-Support my counterparts in Unreasonable East Africa and Unreasonable Mexico-A bunch of less sexy operations / internal things (oversee our finance/accounting, CRM, team benefits, etc.)-Past included everything from media outreach, to logistics and events, to impact tracking, to actively managing all of our accounting and finance (AP, AR, Quickbooks, payroll, etc.)

Was a part of the team that got Impact Hub Boulder from concept to reality. Impact Hub Boulder was a co-working space for impact companies, housed in the heart of Boulder.

Based in Masaka, Uganda, this cooperative microfinance bank served the elderly population of Masaka - mainly those left to care for their grandchildren whose parents were lost to the AIDS epidemic. While there I worked to improve bank inefficiencies in a lending practices, streamline office operations and manage growth. The volunteer opportunity was coordinated with the help of the Foundation for Sustainable Development.

Run 6,000 member, financially self-sufficient organization Create and maintain revenue streams; design marketing materials; maintain multiple websites; handle customer service issues; manage, train and empower 25 student volunteers to host eventsOrganize large scale, multi-day events (50-750 people): i.e. community service events, camps & ski trips, road trips to away football games, trips to MexicoCreate new events & initiatives: i.e. program to improve student behavior at sporting events

Worked on finding renewable energy credits (RECs) and was lucky enough to get to sit in on a ton of calls the CEO had with REC providers. My eyes were opened to really smart people getting to make money changing the world.
