I do my part to help businesses that exist to make the world a vastly better place. When working with early stage growth companies I work on the nitty gritty (finance, accounting, legal contracting and negotiations, HR, internal ops stuff) and the big picture (direction, strategy, resource allocation). As we grow and get teams to own those functions I focus on leading the finance, accounting and contracting departments.I currently work for Findhelp (formerly called Aunt Bertha). We run http://findhelp.org, which connects people in need and the programs that help them with free and reduced cost social programs. By simply entering a zip code they can find and connect with agencies that provide help with food, housing, substance abuse treatment, and other services. I have been on the leadership team as we grew from 15 to 250+ employees, raised a few rounds of capital from VCs and PE firms, grew our revenue 30x, significantly growing our enterprise value along the way, and most importantly helped over 30,000,000 people. And forth we go towards more revenue, enterprise value, and impact.
