- Responsible for assessing documentation supporting the newly created Predix Edge ecosystem. Tasks performed during this assessment included: 1. Testing the completeness of the fragmented documentation for a potential new user of Predix Edge. The documentation existed as a combination of GIT readme’s, word documents, and confluence web blogs. 2. During the testing phase errors and missing elements were corrected and updated. These corrections included items like adding the ability for the existing toolset to create auto coded 64bit versions of applications which previously only supported 32bit. 3. Created tutorials to help new users utilize the Predix Edge ecosystem. These tutorials have become part of the internal GE Predix Edge training materials. The tutorials show users how to do the following: a. How to install Predix EdgeOS b. How to install existing applications into Predix EdgeOS c. How to use the Predix Edge workflow to create new applications in the Predix Edge environment 4. Combining the fragmented documentation into a single support web site. Web site includes readme's, training reference links (for items like Docker containers, Yocto, etc.) and above listed tutorials. - Developed test applications that ran in Docker containers and communicated via the MQTT protocol- Researched how to convert an existing GE 32-bit Yocto operating system recipe to a 64-bit operating system to run on various platforms
