These essential programs varied from the Casualty Control Program to developing and directing the vital program for evaluating, processing, buying, maintaining and reporting all engineering needed for maritime readiness operations.• Lead Project Manager, Engineering Performance Testing. Personally created, evaluated short falls, and categorized 660 vital equipment operational testing checks which culminated in a 4 day 96% assessment. The highest score in US Navy Diesel Engineering.• Engineering Final Contract Project Manager. Directed a $12 million, 4-month final building stage of USS ARLINGTON, pushing both contractors and government employees to effectively meet deadlines on schedule and enabling USS ARLINGTON to become fully operational.• Led and mentored 116 department employees, including 11 senior managers in the largest and most diverse department in the organization. Responsible for the complete mechanical and electrical operation of the ship’s engineering plant. Controlled all troubleshooting and overseeing of day-to-day maintenance. • Worked to developed and implemented an adaptive program for apprehending pirated vessels to be controlled and driven by United States prize crews for federal investigation.• Trained and led an 18-man boarding team during coalition counter-piracy operations in the Somali basin and Gulf of Aden, leading the unit in the capture and prosecution of 16 suspected pirates involved in the second United States civilian hostage situation. Received the US Grateful Nation Award for the Navy, 2011; awarded to 1 member of each branch of service for having distinguished themselves through superior conduct under fire in the War on Terrorism.
