• Our project, in partnership with the Denver Office of Community Violence Solutions, aims to democratize access to crime data by providing violence intervention specialists with real-time access to information.
• Developed a spatiotemporal graph neural network (STGNN) for long-term crime hotspot forecasting, using GRUs for temporal processing, Diffusion Convolution for spatial propagation, and linear transformations for.
• Helped develop and implement a novel time series integral transform technique to address the challenges of sparse data in time series forecasting.
• Conducted empirical tests comparing our STGNN-based approach with traditional methods such as RNN and LSTM, demonstrating the advantages of our model.
