Includes, but not limited to, safety presentations, accident reporting & follow up, PPE, safe handling of hazardous materials, chemical waste disposal, biohazard disposal, SDS, safety equipment maintenance, etc.- Inventory and maintain laboratory equipment and supplies, ordering items as needed within department guidelines. Includes, but not limited to the inventory and ordering of chemicals, specimens, live materials, glassware, consumables, equipment, media, models, etc.- Hire, train, direct and evaluate laboratory support staff. Includes, but not limited to, annual trainings in the areas of safety, cleaning, chemical preparation, and inventory. Provides daily management of part-time laboratory staff. Included electrofishing, discharge readings, and kick net sampling for macroinvertebrate diversity analyses- Educated local youth on local conservation and restoration techniques through the Conservation District’s Summer Day Camps
